The Remoter Project is an educational platform that provides value and resources to those interested in remote work, specifically companies who are looking to build and/or transition their teams into a remote-first model. Alongside my post-production lead Vanesa Monroy & art director Valentina Castillo, we pushed this up from ground up as a small team of 3 female creatives who’ve only ever collaborated virtually and remotely.
I was in charge of leading the growth of Remoter, and some of my efforts included (but were not limited to): distributing our free online course that teaches people to build/scale their remote-first teams, coordinating partnerships for guest posts, kickstarting video interview stories, being in charge of the entire video and audio pre and on-set production efforts, producing an entire season of a podcast, running a monthly newsletter and growing our social media following and presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.
I had the opportunity to traverse around North America (Mexico, Canada) and Europe (Ireland, UK, Portugal, Netherlands, Germany, Austria) to collect content for the Remoter Project, partner in creating local events for the remote work community in different cities and launch a photo series called “Diverse Workspaces” with the usage of KnightLab/StoryMap JS.
